Totalizer Configuration

Adjusting Output Scale

This selection of the coonfigurator gives you the ability to present the output of your totalizer in a scale that maximizes data resolution within the limits of the your recorder's display. For example, if you were totalizing an average flow rate of 1000 GPM over a month, you would end up with a very large total (30 days X 24 hrs/day X 60 mins/hour X 1000 gals/min = 43,200,000 gallons.) This is typically too large to show on the display of the recorder. This problem is easily solved by displaying the totalizer's output in a larger scale. In this instance, displaying the output in gallons X 1,000,000 would lead to a much more manageable display of 43.2. You can decrease the scale of the output to increase the resolution of your output, using the above example, an output in gallons X 1,000 would display 43,200.

It is important to note that the totalizer's output is directly related to its input. For example, if you are totalizing a flow in Millions of Gallons per Day (MGD), your totalizer's output will, by default, be in Gallons X 1 Million.
